Removing the vapor barrier from a car - A thin sheet of plastic, foam or treated paper is taped or glued to the door frame to protect the window mechanism from moisture. To access a window mechanism, gently peel off any tape and lift away the vapor barrier. If the vapor barrier is glued, score its edge with a razor blade as you separate it from the frame. If the car barrier teras, repair it with silver duct tape or replace it. Press the panel into place and gently hammer its edges with a rubber mallet. This is a common problem on older cars and we can take them off your hand the same day!

A fan attached to the water pump pulley helps dissipate the coolants heat by pulling air through the radiator fins. Some of the coolant warm engine air is routed through the heater supply hose to the heater core. Plus, the heater can't keep the car until the engine is warm, conversely, running the heater in very hot weather can help cool in overheated engine.
Coolant circulates through the engine, radiator, water pump and heater core via hoses made of rubber or a rubberlike synthetic. Each hose end fits snugly over a metal neck on the cooling system component, and is secured by a hose clamp. The force of hot coolant circulating under pressure causes quick deterioration of hoses and clamps.
