Adding Differential Oil:  Raise the car on jack stands if necessary, making sure the car is level. Locate the filler plug either at the side or on the rear of the differential housing.  If there are two plugs, use a wrench to unscrew the higher one of the two, the other one is the drain plug. Insert a finger into the hole; if you cannot feel the oil with your fingertips, the level is low.

First, check for leaks from the differential and have a car professionally inspected if you find any oil leaks. Before adding oil, determine whether your car has a limited slip differential which requires a special lubricant.

Clear refrigerant on a car's cooling system indicates the system is either fully charged or empty.  If the air conditioner in your car expels cool at at the vents, the system is fully charged.  If it is empty, always have a professional look at if first.
